My name is Tammy
Lemoine. I am a native of Shelby County. I have been blessed
to live and grow up in this community and I view my job as a way to give
back to the community that has blessed me and my family. I received
my Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, and my Doctorate from Stephen F.
Austin State University. As you can tell, I love to learn. I believe
that education is the key to living a fulfilled and happy life. I
have two children, Brooke Lane, who lives in Austin, Texas, and Ashton
Campbell who is a student at Center High School. I have been an educator
for 31 years, 27 of those have been with Center ISD. I have taught
Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, Sixth Grade, Content
Mastery, Home Economics and have worked for two years in Curriculum.
I was honored to be employed as principal of Center Elementary in June
of 2011. I love my job and it brings me great joy to come to work
every day and interact with my students and staff. It is very exciting
to work on the campus that plays a major role in the educational careers
of our students. We have an enormous responsibility to ensure that we instill
in our students that lifelong joy of learning that will enable them to
lead productive and fulfilled lives. It is the goal of our campus to fulfill
the mission set forth by our district. The mission of Center ISD
is to challenge each student to reach his or her intellectual, creative,
and physical potential by providing a fully integrated curriculum and rigorous
instruction. In doing so, Center ISD will provide a nurturing learning
environment that empowers all stakeholders to become confident, creative
designers of their future and will provide opportunities for collaboration
to develop respect for individual differences and community values.
I look forward to working with my community, parents, and staff to achieve
that goal.
